Learning objectives

Introduction to the basic aspects of regulated space, the system of spatial and urban planning in legislation and practice (the example of The Republic of Srpska), the types of spatial planning documentation and the application of geodesy in these areas through a theoretical and practical approach to study. The course focuses on the role of surveyors in various jobs in the field of spatial and urban planning and spatial development management.

Learning outcomes

By mastering all phases of the teaching process, the student will:
Get acquainted with the planning system in the territory of the Republic of Srpska and the legislation that regulates this area; Recognize all types of spatial planning documentation; To get acquainted with the role of geodesy in the development of spatial planning documents of all levels; Be able to be actively involved in planning teams in the development of spatial planning documentation. Be able to deal with the implementation of spatial planning documentation from participation in the development of urban-technical conditions to the staking out of buildings in the field; He will be able to deal with the monitoring of the built space through the expertise of urban situations on the ground, in relation to regulatory plans, etc.

Course contents

Within the theoretical part of the course, the following topics will be covered:
Introduction to the course; Spatial Planning; spatial plans of the state and region; Urban planning; Urban plan of the city; Regulatory plan; General spatial planning methodology; Preparation of the plan and data base of the plan; Analysis of the state of space; Conceptualization and process of plan adoption; Implementation and monitoring of the plan; Urban-technical conditions, location conditions and building permit; Infrastructure in cities; Integral planning; Legislative framework for spatial planning
