The concept of packaging and packing; Development and history; Classification of packaging; Functions and categories of packaging; Packaging and/as product; Purposes of packaging and materials; Spatial graphics and patterns; Sketches, development and concept of new packaging; Sketches, development and redesign of existing packaging; Packaging design as a form of modern visual communication; Impact of packaging on consumers; Packaging and branding; Realization and presentation techniques; Packaging design as an element of marketing; Typography and packaging design; Contemporary packaging design.

Project and final exam

Teaching Methods

Teaching is performed with modern didactic tools and methods, interactively in the form of lectures, laboratory exercises and through independent research work of candidates. The lectures present the theoretical part of the material accompanied by examples and simulation solutions to facilitate understanding of the subject matter. The acquired knowledge on the available laboratory equipment is practically applied in laboratory exercises. In addition to lectures and exercises, consultations are held regularly.
